We received over 60 remixes in different styles from producers worldwide! And now, finally, after listening very carefully to all of the entrees, we are very proud to announce the winners of our Smootrab Remix Contest. It was hard to choose the winning remixes, you all did a great job! And some of you really surprised us with your creativity and it was fun to listen to different genres of house. Thanks for your outstanding support, nice tunes and participation!
After the closing date of the contest, 5th of June 2011, we listened very carefully to all entered remixes. We made a first selection of 10 remixes that entered the final judging phase. Out of these tracks, we picked the winners. Kornerhouse Records will release 6 remixes + 1 bonus remix, together with the Original mix of "Smootrab - Welcome to my Jungle".
For all other participants, you are free to use your remix for promotional use. You can share your remix for free download. Don't forget to send us a copy, we'd be happy to support you! If another label is interested in signing your remix, please contact Kornerhouse Records. And for sure, keep making quality music and we hope to see you next contest!

Welcome to my Jungle(Original Mix) is one of the tracks that will be on Smootrab's next EP released by Kornerhouse Records. A Tech House groove with deep percussions and tribal glitch vocals in a driving theme. We are looking for a fresh sound to add some diversity. Please follow the steps described below to submit your remix to enter the contest.
Any artist that doesn't not follow these steps will be disqualified! This includes any remixes submitted after June 5, 2011.
1. Upload your remix, before June 5, 2011 to your soundcloud account. If you aren't a registered user on soundcloud yet, please do, it's free.
2. The title of the uploaded remix should be in following format: "Smootrab - Welcome to my Jungle (YOUR ARTIST NAME remix)"
3. DISABLE download function
4. Share the track to the Official Smootrab Remixcontest Soundcloud Group. (Use the "share to group" link on the track's soundcloud player)

Download the remix parts for “Welcome to my Jungle” only from the links on this page or from your personal mail invitation from Smootrab or Kornerhouse Records. Remixes created using illegally obtained stems will be disqualified from the contest. NOTE: Contest is open to all aspiring DJs and producers 18 years of age or older or with a legal guardian’s permission if younger than 18 years of age.
Remix the track into your chosen house style. All house genres are welcome!
Your uploaded remix should have a min. quality of MP3 320 kbps and 6 min min. in length.
(If you are selected as a winner, you will have to submit a full quality 16 bit 44,1 KHz WAV or AIFF file
with -6 dB headroom on the masterbus.)

DO NOT SHARE YOUR REMIX, only by soundcloud player, untill winners are known. You can share the soundcloud link, but not the mp3 or wav. Entrants found to be sharing their mix before the winners are announced, will be disqualified!

Any submissions using a sample that is ‘uncleared’ will be disqualified. The definition of an ‘uncleared’ sample is a loop, sample or musical work, that you do not own the copyright for. You are free to use any sounds that were created by you and/or royalty free loops. The person who submits the remix bears all responsibility for their use of any ‘uncleared’ content.
Subject to standard, a winning remix will be released on Kornerhouse Records.
In consideration of label agreeing to consider entrants to the competition, each entrant hereby assigns to Kornerhouse Records a perpetual, royalty-free, exclusive, sub-licensable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, play, and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to your entry worldwide and/or to incorporate your entry in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in your entry. Prior to any release, winner will be required to sign a remix agreement and liability release and, where permitted, a publicity release. In the rare event that all of the submissions are deemed “sub-quality” Kornerhouse Records reserves the right to not include a winner and/or to not include the release on label.
All rights of the producer and the owner of the recorded work are reserved. Unauthorized copying, hiring, renting, public performance and broadcasting of the remix parts or resulting records or remixes is prohibited.
Your submission of a remix in this contest constitutes your agreement to these rules.
Upon request entrant will supply a stereo, 16 bit, 44,1 kHz WAV/AIFF master file.
Kornerhouse Records shall not accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, liability, injury or upset caused to or suffered by you as a result of entering the competition.
